I would not be too worried. That article sounds like it caters to people prone to moral panic in my opinion. Kids are having sex! Kids are playing Dungeons and Dragons! Kids are playing too much video games! Kids are smoking weed! Kids are blah blah blah...

There are gacha machines in a lot places begging kids to put in several quarters. I do not see loads of kids grow up into addicts.

Sex is normal; I would be extremely worried if my future kids do not have a secret stash of porn somewhere in their room.

Dungeon and Dragons helps kids develop their creativity, social skills, and arithmetic. (New York Times)

Video games are a form of art; games are not only visually and aurally appealing, it is also interactive and mentally stimulating.

Kids should not be smoking pot day in and day out, but every once in a while is fine. Weed is demonized due to racist policy makers years ago. (YouTube — Adam Ruins Everything)

I mean the ‘rush’ and urge to pull in gacha games are eerily similar with casino gambling such as roulette (which i just lost 50bucks for nothing, and i could spent the same in gacha games and got no 5* as well), self control is everything and just afraid that kids are exposed to these very early (getting the endorphins/kicks from gacha pulling)

I do not see anything wrong with it. I used to play Zynga Poker with my friends a lot when I was a teenager and none of us went to the casino to spend all our life savings. We went to Las Vegas and gambled once, but we all still had our wallets intact and none of us really expected to leave with a profit.

People have different vulnerabilities to becoming addicts of certain stuff, depending on genetics, life experiences (social contacts, access to information, etc.) and the resulting biochemistry and neuronal pathways in their brains.

Now the question is, if it is fair to expose vulnerable people to the same temptations as resilient people.
Especially considering that some industries are dependent on addicts for profits.

    Examples:
The alcohol industry would not make profits without 10% of their customers being alcoholics who drink 10+ Drinks per day in the US.
[For women, low-risk drinking is defined as no more than 3 drinks on any single day and no more than 7 drinks per week. For men, it is defined as no more than 4 drinks on any single day and no more than 14 drinks per week.]

Gambling is similar with "problem gamblers contributing to 40-60% of slot machine revenue."

I'm pretty sure something similar can be said about gacha and whales (those who actually don't have that much disposable income and still spend it).

You can confirm it from me, kids have a note page on their phones specifically dedicated to Hentai Sites and Porn Link.
