    Hi!

I was hoping I could get some recommendations on some team builds. This is what I have:

I also have a bunch of 3 stars, but thought it was a bit overkill.

    Thanks!!

Or perhaps a better question would be: Which characters should I be investing time on?

I dont know your unit IVs, but lets assume everyone isn't screwed by -atk.

    Horse team : Brave Roy/Reinhardt/Olwen/Frederick

    Flier : Tana/Cordelia/Camilla/Palla

Infantry : plenty of choices, Katarina, Celica, Azura, Julia, klein and Raven are good picks among your 5* units.

IVs? Is there a way to figure that out if the unit isn't level 1?

Depends on what you need the team for.

An Arena team composed of Reinhardt/Olwen, Klein/Jeorge, and Olivia will allow you handle the vast majority of Arena defense teams and non-competitive modes.

    Reinhardt +Atk or neutral Atk
    Dire Thunder, Moonbow
    Death Blow
    Quickened Pulse/Heavy Blade Sacred Seal

    Olwen +Atk/Spd, -HP/Def/Res
    Dire Thunder, Luna
    Life and Death, Desperation

    Klein/Jeorge +Atk/Spd, -HP/Def/Res
    Brave Bow, Luna
    Life and Death/Death Blow

    Jeorge +Atk/Spd, -HP/Def/Res
    Parthia [Special/Spd], Moonbow
    Life and Death, Desperation

    Olivia
    Ruby Sword, Moonbow
Distant Counter/Fury, Quick Riposte, Hone Attack
    Hone Speed Sacred Seal

    Olivia (Bonfire-Vantage Hector Counter)
    Ruby Sword, Moonbow
    Fury, Vantage, Hone Attack
    Hone Speed Sacred Seal

    Olivia (Bonfire-Vantage Hector Counter)
    Armorsmasher, Moonbow
Triangle Adept, Quick Riposte/Axebreaker, Hone Attack
    Hone Speed Sacred Seal

For 1* to 4* units, you can train them to level 20 and go to the promotion screen to see their promoted level 1 stats. For 5* units, you need to train them to around level 38+ to determine their stats.

    Thank you!

Should I five star Olivia? It sounds like she's a very important character. I wonder if there's a list of characters that I should focus on upgrading to five stars?

I did not make Olivia 5*, she does what she needs to do at 4* - dance. Its hard to have a list of units to make 5* because everyone plays differently, but the general consensus is that Reinhardt and Nino are good choices for 5*.

Unless you are a veteran Tier 20 player, I do not recommend promoting characters from the 3*-4* pool to 5* unless they are really a good combat unit or if they are your favorite character. Olivia is primarily a support unit as a Dancer, so she does not really need the stats to do her job and she is fine at 4*+10.

Generally, players should focus on their Arena team first until it gets prohibitively expensive to improve them. Then, players should focus on units for Arena Assault; during this time, if improving your Arena team becomes less expensive due to increased Feather income and/or more fodder being available, then the player can go back to improving their Arena team until it gets too expensive. Once that happens, the player goes back to investing on Arena Assault units and the cycle repeats. Once you have all the Arena Assault units you need, the cycle stops and you can just dump the rest of your efforts into anything you want.
